Positive COVID-19 case confirmed at Bishop Lloyd

The Lloydminster Public School Division has confirmed a positive COVID-19 case at Bishop Lloyd Middle School.

The division said the person is in the 7-5, 7-6 cohort team at the school.

Communication has been shared with the specific classroom/cohort, as well as the school community.

The SHA is currently conducting contact tracing.

The LPSD said since it won’t be complete on Tuesday night all students in grades 7-5 and 7-6 are to remain at home on Wednesday.

Further direction will be provided to families once Public Health has completed their assessment.

“Our school administration is working diligently to communicate information as we receive it, with our parents and caregivers, and will continue to work to ensure minimal disruption to student learning,” Director of Education Todd Robinson.

The Lloydminster Public School Division and Bishop Lloyd Middle School Administration, with the support of Public Health and the SHA, will continue to communicate additional information as it becomes available.
