Winston Churchill moves to online learning after COVID-19 exposure

The Saskatchewan Health Authority has informed the Lloydminster Public School Division that one of its schools has been affected by a positive COVID-19 case.

On Sunday, the LPSD was informed that a positive case within the community has impacted individuals at Winston Churchill Elementary School.

The SHA is currently conducting contact tracing.

To minimize further risk of transmission, classroom 301 grade 1 and classroom 509 grade 3 will move to online learning from November 2 till November 6th.

Students will return to school on November 16th, after the fall break.

Communication has been shared with the specific classrooms, as well as the school community.

“Our school administration is working diligently to communicate information as we receive it, with our parents and caregivers, and will continue to work to ensure minimal disruption to  student learning.” Todd Robinson, Director of Education.

More information will come out once it’s available.
