The City is changing up the organics collection due to a lack of waste during the Winter.
Starting on Monday, the pickup will happen bi-weekly, which will result in an estimated $30,000 annual savings.
The City stated there will be an 80 per cent decrease in curbside organics collection during the season since there is less yard waste.
The weekly collection will resume in the Spring.
The City diverts more than 11,000 tonnes of organic waste from the landfill each year.
Residents are encouraged to continue using the green organics bin during winter.
