Trout Lake man faces impaired driving charges after chase with Lloyd RCMP

Lloydminster RCMP has arrested and charged a Trout Lake man after a chase.

Officers attempted to stop a vehicle after it was travelling in the wrong lane on 44th Street on Monday.

Police said they chased the man to a 5400 block of 50th Street home where he tried to escape on foot.

Lloydminster RCMP Police Dog Services was called in to assist mounties on the scene.

He was found hiding in an RV trailer, where he was taken into custody without further incident.

Leo Alook, 29, of Trout Lake, Alberta has been charged with alleged dangerous and impaired driving, flight from police officers,  refusing to provide a breath sample and Mischief under $5000 among others.

Alook has been remanded into custody to appear in Alberta Provincial Court on October 20, 2020.
