Lakeland College employee COVID-19 positive, no other cases reported

Lakeland College stated no other confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported after an employee tested positive on Monday.

The post-secondary said the Lloydminster campus employee followed health protocols by staying at home after displaying symptoms.

The campus will remain open to employees and staff as Public Health officials believe the risk of transmission is low. People will be contacted by officials if they have been in contact with the person.

There are no changes to programs and service delivery. The campuses remain closed to the public, including the family of students and staff.

Lakeland said this case reinforces the importance of everyone following the guidelines. The school’s protocols can be viewed on their website.
