LCSD announced Holy Rosary, St. Joseph negative COVID-19 tests

Two Lloydminster Catholic School Division schools have COVID-19 tests come back negative after advisories set out this weekend.

The Area Lead Medical Officer of Health and the Public Health team issued a advisory to St. Joseph Elementary School and Holy Rosary High School over Thanksgiving weekend.

This was due to a visitor to the area from outside the province tested positive for COVID-19.

The advisory will remain in place until October 20th despite the negative results.

LCSD Director of Education Nigel McCarthy released a statement on Wednesday mentioned parents support by keeping their kids home that display symptoms.

“This advisory has reinforced how important this step is in keeping our schools moving forward this year. We will continue to keep families informed should the Medical Health Officer issue any further orders or advisories.”

LCSD thanked the Saskatchewan Health Authority and Public Health for working with us on this advisory.
