All cats placed with furever homes after SPCA event

The Lloydminster & District SPCA’s Name Your Price event resulted in more cat and kitten adoptions than expected.

The Name Your Price event allowed residents to pick how much they wanted to pay for a cat.

Community Outreach Manager, Becca Lawrence, mentioned they were hoping to have around 30 fur babies adopted.

After the five day event wrapped up, Lawrence noted that every cat they had was taken to a forever home.

“Obviously that was our end game was to have all of them adopted and everybody that was available did get adopted so we were really happy with that,” stated Lawrence.

Throughout the event, 36 cats and kittens were adopted.

All 45 cats from the SPCA had left the facility with their new families as well as a few guinea pigs and dogs.

There are still pets available at the SPCA that will be ready to go to loving homes in the coming weeks.

There is expected to be another pet event in October and around Christmas time as well.
