No injuries in Glenwood Village fire

The Lloydminster Fire Department said no injuries were reported during the Glenwood Village blaze on Friday night.

The FD responded to the fire on 5111 36th Street with four trucks, including 21 crew members.

Fire crews attacked the fire outside of the building as it was present on the balconies of the second and third floors.

Although damage was limited to the exterior of the building, extensive repairs are needed to eight units.

The occupants are working with victim services and Red Cross agencies to find temporary accommodations.

The FD said the fire is currently under investigation and arson is not suspected.
