UPDATE: Lloydminster RCMP investigate car jacking, shots fired

UPDATE: Changes were made to the article after a release sent out by Lloydminster RCMP at 10:15 P.M.

Constable Michael Hagel told Lloyd Connect that the incident is related to what was released by Saskatchewan RCMP earlier this evening.

——————————————————————————————————————-A Lloydminster RCMP investigation is underway after a carjacking that involved a shooting.

Earlier this evening officers responded to a stolen truck report around 6 p.m that headed from Saskatchewan into Alberta near Lloydminster.

RCMP said the Ford F-150 was involved in a crash on 45th Avenue and 34th Street when several people ran from inside the truck.

Shots were fired at a victim and their vehicle was stolen. The victim suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The truck was again located driving near Marshall but escaped again.

Saskatchewan RCMP earlier press release stated officers were looking for a brown 2014 Ford F-150 with the Alberta license plate BSB 9726. The truck also has a “Sticks and Stones” decal on the back window.

Lloydminster RCMP along with the RCMP Forensic Identification Unit continue to investigate this incident.

An update will be provided when more information becomes available.
