Two new COVID-19 cases reported in Wainwright

Two more COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the M.D of Wainwright as of July 19th.

According to the Alberta Health Services virus data map, there are now five active cases in Wainwright.

The County of Vermilion River has gone unchanged with one active COVID-19 case with a total of six recoveries since March.

Both the County of Minburn and the County of Two Hills remain the same as of July 16th.

The County of Minburn has two active cases and one recovery and the County of Two Hills has four active cases.

There are 131 active cases in the Central zone with 28 people in hospital and five are in intensive care.

A total of 98 people have recovered in the zone.

Provincially, a total of 368 new cases were confirmed over the weekend with 165 cases reported on Friday, 106 cases on Saturday and 97 cases on Sunday.

Between Friday and Sunday, Alberta completed 23,530 COVID-19 tests.
