Lloydminster man charged after Saskatoon Police chase

A 31-year-old man is facing charges after a chase with Saskatoon Police.

Early Tuesday morning, officers pulled over a car on 8th Street East, which led to the passenger running away.

The car then sped off down 8th Street while being followed by members of the Air Support Unit.

The car was headed out of the city before turning back around on Highway 11.

Police then deployed a tire deflation device near Vic Boulevard, however, the car kept traveling on the tire rims before hitting a pothole and coming to a stop.

Police said officers found alcohol, and drugs in the car.

The 31-year-old faces three charges including dangerous driving, evade police and breach of court conditions.

The man, who’s name has not been released by police, was taken into custody at the scene.
