Bobcats acquire forward Nathan Carl

The Lloydminster Bobcats have acquired Nathan Carl from the Swan Valley Stampeders from the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

In the acquisition, the organization traded away defenseman Ryan Nause and forward Alex Danis to the Stampeders.

The Sherwood Park born player recorded  23 goals and 23 assists last season in 60 regular season games while putting up 5 points in 3 playoff games with the Stampeders.

Bobcats Head Coach and General Manager Nigel Dube said the team is excited to add add a player like Carl who will shine on and off the ice.

“Nathan spent his 18-year-old season in Fort McMurray so he is familiar with our league and players on our current roster. His offensive ability will have an immediate impact with the core group we have built in the Border City.”

The Alberta Hockey League Board of Governors announced at a June 20th annual general meeting that preparation for the 2020-21 has begun.

The 57th season is set to start in September should Provincial health regulations allow.

The League said it will announce a modified schedule for its 15 teams within the coming weeks.
