Entrepreneurs who are looking for business support will soon be able to take advantage of a virtual co-working space presented by Startup Lloydminster.
The virtual co-working space is for anyone who likes to work together with other people, to set up a meeting with someone, or if someone needs a space to work away from home.
To help businesses get back on their feet, Startup has hosted many zoom chats and programs over the last few months.
There is a co-working space in their building for people to enjoy, but it is closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Glenys Reeves-Gibbs, acting Executive Director, mentioned the idea came from a brainstorming session.
Startup staff decided they wanted a space that entrepreneurs could support other businesses as they currently cannot actually meet in person.
“We know that it’s nice just to be able to have that connection not for any formal reason and for that reason we thought we would try a month of virtual co-working space,” said Reeves-Gibbs.
Anyone can ask to join the virtual co-working space by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
A Zoom link will be sent back for easy and quick access to the brainstorming platform.
“There’s just some research around the need for that informal connection where you can just brainstorm in a virtual space,” said Reeves-Gibbs.
Staff is also available to answer any questions during the day since the Zoom meeting will be run from the Startup office.
This service will begin on July 6.
