Stolen semi-truck crashes into house; driver facing charges

A man is facing charges after stealing a semi-truck and crashing into a home in Lloydminster.

Police say the driver crashed into the house around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night before attempting to flee on foot.

The driver entered a nearby apartment in an attempt to hide from officers, but was detained after residents informed the officers of his location.

The driver remains in custody and is waiting for a bail hearing.
